DeepForgeHub (“we”, “us”) operates the website deepforgehub.com and the DeepVideo desktop applications for Windows and macOS, including the version distributed through the Mac App Store (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, an optional display name, and a hashed password. Authentication uses a secure session cookie or token; we never store your password in plain text.
Usage information. We record which plan you are on, how many translation minutes your account has used, and basic request metadata (time, app version, platform). We use this for quotas, billing and troubleshooting.
Content you submit for translation. Video and audio files are processed entirely on your own device and are never uploaded to us. The only content that leaves your device is the subtitle/transcript text that needs translating. That text is sent to our translation service providers, processed to produce the translation, and is not used to train models or shared for advertising.
Payment information. Payments made on our website are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). Payments made through the Mac App Store are handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Support communications. If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can resolve your issue.
Website data. Our website uses cookies and analytics (Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics) to keep you signed in and to understand aggregate traffic. We also use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising; it may set cookies in your browser. You can block these with your browser settings or an ad blocker.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to sign you in
- To provide translation and dubbing features and to enforce plan quotas
- To process payments and prevent fraud
- To provide support and send service notices, such as security alerts
- To maintain and improve reliability and performance
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Translation providers — receive subtitle text only, to produce translations
- Payment processors — Stripe for website purchases, Apple for App Store purchases
- Hosting, CDN and email delivery — process account and usage data on our behalf
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security
- Meta — advertising performance measurement on our website
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
4. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
5. How long we keep your data
- Account and usage data: while your account is active, and for up to 30 days after deletion in our backups
- Support emails: up to 24 months
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and you can object to certain processing. Depending on where you live, these rights are granted by laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA.
To delete your account: use Delete Account in the app’s account settings, or email [email protected] from the address associated with your account. We will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page or by email, and the “Last updated” date will change.
